Each time we distribute a movie in cinemas in Australia, we love to bring to into focus the work of an organisation that we believe in and see synergies with each particular film. With the release of The Ten Commandments, we’re excited to introduce you to Vana Childcare Ministries.
By 2010, it is estimated that Africa will have over 50 million children orphaned as a result of HIV Aids and Vana Childcare Ministries is giving children from Zimbabwe hope for the future by providing a loving and nurturing family to orphaned and vulnerable children; caring for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Situated 140 km south of Harare, in the community of Chivhu you will find three Vana houses on 10 acres of beautiful Zimbabwe hillside. With over 30 houses and a medical centre planned, and with each house becoming a home for 8 children and a new mother, Vana Childcare Ministries will be building a future for over 240 children from Zimbabwe.
